Rådgivning, sparring og inspiration er blandt de ydelser, Dorthe Jørgensen tilbyder i sin egenskab af ikke kun forfatter og foredragsholder, men også ph.d. i idéhistorie, dr.phil. i filosofi og idéhistorie samt dr.theol. i systematisk teologi. Hun har 30+ års erfaring som humanistisk og teologisk forsker på højeste akademiske niveau samt omfattende erfaring som formidler i utallige forskellige kontekster.
Dorthe Jørgensen har stor erfaring med at sætte sig ind i fremmede organisationer, tilegne sig ny viden og aktualisere sin tænkning på relevante og forståelige måder i såvel ikke-akademiske som akademiske kontekster, der ønsker et friskt blik på deres eget virke, værdier og tankegang.
I de senere år har Dorthe Jørgensen bl.a. været optaget af vores forståelse (eller manglende samme) af begrebet ånd, vores forhold til døden (og dermed også dette at være menneske) samt vores brug af havet (og naturen i det hele taget), hvilket bl.a. har impliceret højskoleforedrag, samarbejde med præster, læger og sygeplejersker samt bestyrelsesarbejde i Tænketanken HAV og samarbejde med Louisiana Museum for Moderne Kunst og Skovgaard Museet.

Performing the Sacred: A Transcultural Exploration of the Sacred as Aesthetic Practice. Interdisciplinært internationalt forskningsprojekt, Oslo Universitet, Norge, 2009-2010 (senere reorganiseret som Network for Aesthetics, Theology, and Science). Motivator og rådgiver. Arbejdet trak på en række titler nævnt i Publikationer.
Odense Katedralskole. I 2008 inviteret af skolens rektor til at bedømme skolens værdigrundlag. Resultatet blev præsenteret på et møde for skolens bestyrelse og medarbejdere og efterfølgende diskuteret i grupper. Arbejdet igangsatte en længere proces, hvor skolens ledelse og medarbejdere gjorde dens værdigrundlag til genstand for revision. Rådgivningen profiterede af Skønhed udgivet i 2006.
Fenomenologi, estetikk og læring. Interdisciplinær forskningsenhed, Stavanger Universitet, Norge. Motivator og rådgiver, 2008. Dette arbejde, som omfattede en gæsteforelæsnng, master class samt bedømmelse af deltagernes opgaver og udkast til artikler, trak på Aglaias dans udgivet i 2008.
Sanselighet og transcendens: Det hellige og det sublime i religionsestetisk perspektiv. Interdisciplinært skandnavisk forskningsprojekt finansieret af Norges Forskningsråd, 2007-2012. Motivator, rådgiver og bidragyder. Arbejdet hvilede på Skønhedens metamorfose og Historien som værk udgivet i 2001 og 2006.

Advice, sparring, and inspiration are among the services that Dorthe Jørgensen offers in her capacity as not only an author and communicator, but also a PhD in the history of ideas, a Dr. Phil. Habil. in philosophy and the history of ideas, and a Dr. Theol. Habil. in systematic theology. She has 30+ years of experience as a humanities and theology researcher at the highest academic level and extensive experience as a communicator in countless different contexts.
Dorthe Jørgensen has extensive experience in familiarizing herself with foreign organizations, acquiring new knowledge, and actualizing her thought in relevant and understandable ways in both non-academic and academic contexts that want a fresh look at their own work, values, and thinking.
In recent years, Dorthe Jørgensen has been concerned with our understanding (or lack thereof) of the concept of spirit, our relationship with death (and thus also with being humans), and our usage of the sea (and nature in general), which has, for example, involved communication at folk high schools, collaboration with priests, doctors, and nurses, and board work at the Ocean Institute, as well as, collaboration with Louisiana Museum of Modern Art and the Skovgaard Museum.

Many university colleges, primary schools, and upper secondary schools. Contributions to development work including guidance to ways of thinking and acting that are more aesthetic-sensitive and thus broader and more inclusive than common thinking and behavior in the socalled knowledge society. These contributions often involved usage of material from Nærvær og eftertanke published in 2015.

Odense Katedralskole. In 2008, invited by the headmaster of this upper secondary school to evaluate the school’s description of its values. At a meeting with the school board and the school’s employees, the result of the evaluation was presented and subsequently discussed in groups. This work initiated a longer process in which the school’s management and employees made its values the subject of revision. The ädvisory work benefited from Skønhed published in 2006.
Phenomenology, Aesthetics, and Learning. Interdisciplinary research unit, University of Stavanger, Norway. Motivator and advisor, 2008. This work, which included a guest lecture, a master class, and assessment of the participants’ papers and drafts of articles, referred to Aglaias dans publshed in 2008.
Sensibility and Transcendence: The Holy and the Sublime in the Perspective of the Aesthetics of Religion. Interdisciplinary Scandinavian research project financed by the Research Council of Norway, 2007-2012. Motivator, advisor, and contributor.
